Biography
Sarah Lightner received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the Pennsylvania State University. She received her Masters in Education from the University of Pittsburgh in Reading Education and her Doctorate from the Ohio State University in Reading and Literacy in Early and Middle Childhood. Dr. Lightner has eight years of experience as a reading specialist in elementary and middle school settings. Her research interests concern critical literacy, young adult literature, and the role of dialogue in reading comprehension.
