Dr.%20Brent%20Ruswick%20studies%20the%20history%20of%20medicine%20and%20science%20and%20their%20influence%20in%20culture%20and%20politics.%20His%20writing%20and%20teaching%20focuses%20on%20the%20history%20of%20disability,%20eugenics,%20poverty,%20public%20health,%20nuclear%20weapons,%20and%20history%20education.%20He%20is%20the%20author%20of%20one%20book,%20%3Cem%3EAlmost%20Worthy:%20The%20Poor,%20Paupers,%20and%20the%20Science%20of%20Charity%20in%20America%3C/em%3E%20with%20a%20forthcoming%20second%20book%20on%20poverty,%20an%20edited%20anthology%20called%20%3Cem%3EThe%20Cultural%20History%20of%20Poverty%20in%20the%20Age%20of%20Empire%3C/em%3E.%20Ruswick%20has%20won%20numerous%20awards%20for%20his%20teaching,%20advising,%20research,%20and%20work%20in%20equity%20and%20inclusion.
