Dr.%20Vickie%20Ann%20McCoy%20received%20her%20Ph.D.%20from%20the%20University%20of%20Southern%20Mississippi%20where%20she%20worked%20in%20the%20Center%20for%20Disability%20Studies.%20Prior%20to%20these%20experiences,%20she%20spent%20many%20years%20as%20the%20Coordinator%20for%20Counseling%20and%20Testing%20Services%20for%20Students%20with%20Disabilities%20at%20Monmouth%20University.%20McCoy's%20presentation%20and%20research%20interests%20are%20in%20Positive%20Psychology,%20Disability%20Studies%20&%20Service%20Provision,%20advocacy%20for%20the%20LGBTQ%20community%20and%20other%20non-traditional%20students%20in%20Higher%20Education%20settings.%20She%20regularly%20teaches%20Human%20Exceptionality%20for%20Counselors,%20Higher%20Education%20Counseling/Student%20Affairs%20Practicum%20and%20Internship,%20Orientation%20to%20Counseling,%20and,%20less%20frequently,%20other%20courses%20as%20needed%20such%20as%20Fundamentals%20of%20the%20Helping%20Relationship,%20Theories,%20Group%20Dynamics,%20Career%20Development,%20and%20Human%20Development.
