What's Happening at WCU?
Mike Maloy retires from WCU

Mike Maloy, Associate Vice President for Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer, retired from West Chester University after 15 plus years of service along with his wife, Shelley Maloy, Fiscal Assistant for Student Financial Services. Mike's contributions to West Chester University have been extensive. He has brought exceptional stability to the Office of Human Resources, has shaped policy, restructured the division, has been coordinating Finance and Administration Division services to Cheyney University for the past year, and most importantly prepared his organization for his departure.
We'd like to thank Mike for his exemplary service and dedication to WCU and wish him and Shelley the best as they enjoy the next chapter of their lives! They will be greatly missed on campus.
Managers' Community Holds Souper Bowl Food Drive
The WCU Managers’ Community would like to thank everyone who participated in the Souper Bowl food drive in support of WCU’s Resource Pantry. Prior to the Super Bowl, the campus community was invited to vote for who they thought would win the Super Bowl by placing a food donation in the appropriately marked bins set up across campus. The campus community predicted correctly; the final food tallies were:
Patriots: 21.6 pounds of food
Eagles: 207.6 pounds of food
The Resource Pantry was the big winner here, with 229.2 pounds of food collected for our students. As Resource Pantry Program Coordinator Gabriele Singh notes, "It’s acts of kindness and generosity such as this that allows us to keep our shelves stocked and provide supports for students with financial need."
