Will I lose all of the information in my current LyndaCampus account when West Chester University upgrades to LinkedIn Learning?

No. Your entire Lynda.com history will be migrated to your LinkedIn Learning account.

Will I have access to the same content in LinkedIn Learning as I did with Lynda.com?

Yes. LinkedIn acquired Lynda.com and you will have access to content that was previously available through Lynda.com.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY UPGRADED WCU LINKEDIN LEARNING ACCOUNT?

Click here to active your WCU LinkedIn Learning Account

Will playlists be ported over?

Playlists will be transferred to LinkedIn Learning and now called "Collections"

How will this affect courses that I instruct using D2L?

If you are currently linking to any LyndaCampus videos, they will continue to work until January 2020.  After that time, the current LyndaCampus links will be broken.  It is recommended that you update all shareable links during Fall Semester of 2019.  For further assistance, contact D2L Services (d2l@wcupa.edu)) or your Distance Education Instructional Designer (distanceed@wcupa.edu).

What about embedded LinkedIn Learning Videos in my D2L Course?

At this time, LinkedIn Learning limits the number of embedded videos per user. Therefore, it is recommended that you provide a link to the LinkedIn Learning video rather than embedding in the course at this time.  For further assistance, contact D2L Services (d2l@wcupa.edu) or your Distance Education Instructional Designer (distanceed@wcupa.edu).

HOW DO I ACCESS LINKEDIN LEARNING AT WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY?

When you log in to LinkedIn Learning for the first time you will be given the opportunity to link your Learning account to your LinkedIn account (if you have one).
For those without a LinkedIn profile account, you may create a profile at this point.

- will be prompted to fill in basic information for a LinkedIn Learning profile
- can choose a series of interests that will help promote videos you may be interested in
- will NOT be able to keep video course certificates you earn if you leave WCU

If you DO link your accounts,

- you will be able to add any video course certificates you earn to your LinkedIn profile, and take them with you if you leave WCU
- your LinkedIn Learning account will be auto-populated with basic information

LinkedIn Learning will be able to use information such as your job title, industry, and listed skills to help promote videos and subjects you might be interested in
Future logins will have you sign in first to your LinkedIn Learning WCU account, using your WCU username and password, then, sign in to LinkedIn, using the email/username and password of your LinkedIn account (you can have more than 1 email address associated with your LinkedIn Profile).

  1.  Go to www.wcupa.edu/linkedinlearning from your current Browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome)

how do i share linkedin learning videos?

To share a video or course, copy the URL of the video our course and paste in an email or your D2L course.  To obtain the URL,

- login to LinkedIn Learning
- search for the course or video
- open the video and in the upper right corner
- click the Share Icon
- select Twitter (you do not need to have a twitter account, you are only using this method to obtain the shareable link)
- in the Twitter dialog box, copy the link address
- close the Twitter dialog box
- paste the link into an email, D2L or where you wanted to share content

how do i embed a linkedin learning video in d2l?

Unfortunately, the embed option in LinkedIn Learning is only available to those who have connected their LinkedIn account with their LinkedIn Learning account.   Also, there is also a limit of 5 embedded videos per month. If you are sharing multiple videos in D2L, we recommend just sharing the links rather than embedding.
- login to LinkedIn Learning
- search for the course or video
- open the video and in the upper right corner
- click the Share Icon
- select Embed from the list
- copy the Embed code and then close the dialog box
- you can now paste the embed code where needed in your D2L Course
