Bio

Dr. Brie Radis identifies as a strength-based Anti-Oppressive Trauma Informed Educator. She’s an associate professor of social work at West Chester University and teaches at both the Philadelphia and West Chester campuses. She’s a graduate of the Doctorate of Social Work program at the University of Pennsylvania. Radis received her social work and her law and social policy graduate training at Bryn Mawr’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Radis has worked in the field of community mental health, substance use, homelessness, and housing first since 2004. She is a passionate advocate for integrated health care, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and the housing first philosophy. She is also an experienced trauma therapist and clinical supervisor for students and staff. She is a co-director of West Chester University's Anti-Racist Working Group.

Radis teaches clinical supervision on the doctoral level and specializes in social justice and anti-oppressive supervision. She’s an active advocate for resource equity with college and graduate students and has assisted in the development of the Philadelphia resource pantry to address food insecurity barriers for students and is open to discussing this process.

One of her current focuses is mentoring undergraduate students to engage in research and publishing.
