Ethics Module Instructions

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST USE FIREFOX TO COMPLETE THIS MODULE. NO OTHER BROWSERS ARE COMPATIBLE.

  1. Once on the Homepage, click the login button in the top right. If you have an existing account please login.
    1. For most you will need to register for a new account. Click the Login button in the top right and then Register.

    2. For new users/first time registrations. Please enter your First and Last name (this must be your legal name), and email address
    3. Undergraduate students will not have a PPID number. Please check the box that states “I Understand that if my PPID is not entered I will not receive Act 48 credits”

  2. After your account is created, you will need to login. Button is in the top right corner

  3. After logging in you will select the PD Center Button on the Home Screen.

  4. Once on the PD Center page, please use the Search Catalog feature in the top left. Please search: Ethics and you will see “Conceptualizing Professional Ethics for Educators (Chapter 49)”

  5. You will then click the yellow Options button next to the course name. Select Register.

  6. After successfully registering for the course you should see the screen below.

    The My Classes tab is found in the upper right corner under the Menu drop down next to your name.

  7. On the My Classes Page you will find your Active Registrations. Please select the Options drop-down next to the course name and select Go to Classroom. You will then be redirected to your Learning page. This course is self-paced, and must be completed within 3 months of registering.

  8. For this Ethics Module you will need to follow the Learning outcomes, review the e-book, rubrics and other supplemental materials to complete the module.

    Students will need to submit the following to the assignments tab as you work through the module:
    • Preassessment
    • Knowledge Check
    • Final Assessment

  9. Once all items and module have been completed and submitted the items will be reviewed by the PA Department of Education within 5 days. If students need to make corrections those will be noted and those changes will need to be made.
  10. Once the course is completed and has been graded by the PA Department of Education, students will need to submit the following items to RamPortal under the (ENTER NAME OF LINK HERE ONCE CREATED) link in PDF or jpeg format:
    1. Preassessment
    2. Knowledge Check
    3. Final Assessment
    4. Printed Grade Screen

How to print grades:

Click the Print Grades button from the Grades Tab. And Select the Option Microsoft Print to PDF. Save this for submission
