HEERF FY 2021 - Q3 (3.31.2021)
West Chester University has received the third installment of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III) from the American Rescue Plan. After reviewing updated guidance for these funds, a decision was made by university leadership to award all degree-seeking students who were enrolled for the spring term using the following award procedures:
- Students who were enrolled for spring 2021 and had a Student Aid Index (SAI, previously Expected Family Contribution, EFC) of 9,999 or less from the 2021 FAFSA were awarded a one-time grant of $1700.00.
- Students who did not file a 2021 FAFSA or had an SAI (EFC) higher than 9,999 were awarded a one-time grant of $600.00.
These emergency grants are meant to assist with the cost of attending West Chester University as well as any expenses you incurred from the COVID-19 pandemic including: childcare, health coverage, transportation, and the cost of living.
Students who meet the outlined criteria should review their "Account Summary" in the "Student Financials" section of MyWCU.
Questions about this emergency grant can be sent to the Financial Aid Office at finaid@wcupa.edu. Questions about the refund of this grant should be sent to the Bursar's Office at bursar@wcupa.edu.
