Q: Who has access to Office 365 and OneDrive?
A: All active WCU faculty, staff and students have access to Office 365 and OneDrive.
Q: Where do I go to login Office 365 and OneDrive?
A: You can access Office 365 and OneDrive by using the Office 365 Portal.
Q: How many devices can I install Office 365 onto?
A: Office 365 apps can be installed on up to 5 computers, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones. This applies to all active faculty, staff and students.
Q: My personal laptop has an older version of office, how do I install the latest version?
A: Visit the Support page to learn more about downloading Office 365 from the Office 365 portal Office 365 Portal

Q: Do I need Office 365 if I already have Office on a university owned computer?
A: No, all university-owned computers are pre-configured with Microsoft Office
Q: Can I still use my personal OneDrive account?
A: Yes. Your West Chester University OneDrive account is labeled as One Drive for Business and will be configured by IS&T. Your personal OneDrive account is just OneDrive.
Q: I have a university owned computer with an old version of Office. Can I upgrade my current version by going through Office 365?
A: No. The download from Office 365 is best suited for personally owned computers, and mobile devices. If your computer is running an older version of Office, contact the Contact the Help Desk for a version upgrade to Office 2016.
Q: I would like to share files with my team or department, is OneDrive the best resource for this?
A: No. While OneDrive provides file sharing for distribution, it is not recommended to use it for sharing confidential data within teams & departments. Contact the Contact the Help Desk to learn more about SharePoint.
Q: My department and I use a secure network drive for confidential and sometimes sensitive data. How do we go about moving these files to OneDrive.
A: Contact the Help Desk to learn more about SharePoint. While OneDrive provides file sharing for distribution, it is not the appropriate tool for storing and sharing confidential or sensitive data within teams & departments.

Q: I do not have any version of office, how do I install Office 365?
A: First, go to the Microsoft Office Portal and login using your WCU credentials. Next Click Install Office Apps. Visit the Support page for step-by-step instructions on installing Office 365.
