Kelly Gumble is an adjunct professor of Music Education at West Chester University where she supervises student teachers and educates undergraduate students about working with young bands. Courses taught include Elementary Band for music educators, Music Education Foundations I, Instrumental Methods, and Administration & Advocacy Methods.
Prior to her appointment at WCU, Professor Gumble served students in the Pennsylvania Public Schools for 17 years. Throughout her career, Professor Gumble has shown a deep commitment to music education, inspiring students to discover their passion for music and achieve excellence in their craft. In addition to her work as a band director, she is also a music researcher, with a particular focus on the impact of ethical development in music educators. Professor Gumble also serves as the Director of Operations at Vivace Productions, Inc., an organization that creates and provides educational and innovative learner-centered workshops for music students and educators.
Professor Gumble holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Transformative Education and Social Change from West Chester University. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education.
