Graduates of the WCU PsyD program meet the educational requirements (e.g., APA accreditation, regional accreditation, residency at the degree granting institution, practicum and internship hours, and specific courses and content) for licensure in each of the following jurisdictions:

For the following states, graduates of the WCU PsyD program are not immediately eligible for licensure upon completion of the doctoral program, unless they complete the additional requirements listed below:

- California: a minimum of 10 hours of coursework in Human Sexuality; a course devoted solely to Alcoholism/Chemical Dependency Detection and Treatment; a minimum of 7 hours of coursework or training in Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting; a minimum of 2 hours of coursework in Spousal or Partner Abuse Assessment, Detection, and Intervention Strategies Training Requirements; a minimum of 6 hours of coursework or applied experience in Aging and Long-term Care, including instruction on the treatment, assessment, and reporting of elder and dependent adult abuse and neglect; a minimum of 6 hours of coursework or supervised applied experience in Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention. https://www.psychology.ca.gov/licensees/faq.shtml
