Recycling
West Chester University provides innovative recycling and waste reduction solutions with unmatched passion for the well-being of our campus community and our environment.
WCU provides daily waste and recycling collection for the entire campus. The collection of waste on campus is a collaborative effort between several university departments including Custodial Operations, Grounds Maintenance, Moving Services & Surplus, Environmental Health and Safety, and the Office of Sustainability.
How can I recycle at WCU?
Recycling at WCU is single stream, meaning that paper, glass, cardboard, and plastic and metal containers all go into one bin. However, trash still needs to be placed in a different container. Many side-by-side trash and recycling containers have been placed around campus in common areas and classrooms. If you’re not sure how to dispose of your items, visit our Disposal Guide.
