Traditions/Entertainment
SAC is responsible for some of the largest traditions at WCU! In the fall, SAC plays a major role in Welcome Weekend at the beginning of the academic year and throws our Homecoming Block Party just a few weeks later in October. In the spring, SAC hosts WCU’s own campus holiday, Banana Day, complete with banana-related games, food, and fun! To end the year, SAC helps bring our annual spring festival, Ramboree, to life.
Rams After Hours
Rams After Hours (RAH) is a late-night programming series created by students, for students. During the academic year, WCU students are invited to FREE events starting at 7 p.m. on Friday nights typically in Sykes Student Union. Events include games, novelties, movie showings, giveaways, make-and-take crafts, food, photo opps, and more!
Trips
SAC hosts various off-campus trips throughout the academic year for current WCU students. Some favorites include our annual trips to NYC and Washington D.C. We also visit theme parks, sporting events, Philly attractions, and more.
Daytime Events
Each month, SAC hosts daytime events that offer fun, free entertainment in the middle of the school day. Whether it’s free food, crafts, or an inflatable obstacle course, daytime events are always a welcome surprise for commuter students and on-campus residents alike.
