Graduate Program in
Applied Statistics

We offer flexible learning options. Students can complete the Program by choosing to take classes in-person, online or a mix of both. Students can choose whichever format they prefer for each individual class. Students who learn best via in-person settings can take all of their required courses on the main West Chester campus. Each in-person class meets one evening per week. Students can also choose to take some or all their courses in fully online formats.

Concentrations

We offer three concentrations as part of our Master's degree, as well as our General Applied Statistics degree:

In addition, we offer a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics and a post-Master’s Certificate of Advanced Study in Applied Statistics.

We encourage students from diverse academic backgrounds to consider our program. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, various undergraduate majors and interests are eligible for admissions. Featured Alumni:

I was searching for a program that was applied in nature but without sacrificing the mathematical rigor. WCU was the only program I found that taught the theoretical grounding alongside the application in the way that I wanted so I could really understand the toolkit that I was building.

I came to the WCU program right out of my undergraduate degree, knowing that I wanted to work with "math and computers." I was already interested in the field but the classes I took and the professors I met helped to really ignite a deep passion for applied statistics. I think that passion has pushed me to learn and apply more and more, and that has translated into a very fulfilling career so far. I don't think I would have had the same set of tools to build that career if I had chosen a different program.

The program really shaped my way of statistical thinking.
