RAM CARD: WCU STUDENT ID

Your Ram Card is your official West Chester University student identification card.

Your Ram Card (student ID card) provides:

Access to your residence hall
Access to the library
Printing on campus
Free entry at campus events
Paying for food from your meal plan
Plus add funds to your Ram Card (Ram Bucks) to use your Ram Card as a debit card on and off campus. Ram Bucks is accepted at local grocery stores, retail locations, pharmacies, restaurants and more.

How to receive your Ram Card:

Before your Ram Card can be printed, you must:

Upload one proof of identification.
For example: driver's license, learner's permit, state ID card, Passport/Visa
Upload a photo of yourself to be used as your ID photo.
Ensure your ID photo aligns with the Ram Card photo requirements and criteria.

If you are unable to take your ID photo, you may have your photo taken a the Ram Card Office (Ground floor of Sykes Student Union Building).

After successfully uploading proof of identification and an ID photo. completing the above steps, you may receive you Ram Card:

First Year and Transfer Students living on campus will receive their cards at orientation.
Distance learning/online students may request to have their Ram Card mailed to them.
WCU Philadelphia Students Ram Cards will be available at the WCU Philadelphia Center.
Commuters and everyone else may pick up their card at the Ram Card Office (Ground floor of Sykes Student Union Building).

PHOTO CRITERIA

Just like a passport photo, the photo for your new Ram Card must meet specific criteria. For your photo to be accepted, it must meet all of the following criteria:

Well lit, color photo
Facing forward
Plain white background only
Head, neck & top of shoulders showing in photo
Visible space showing above your head
No hats or sunglasses except head coverings worn for religious reasons
No one else in your photo (we know you love them, but this includes pets)

Before you say cheese, here are some tips for taking a winning photo!

Have someone else take it. You can’t get the right angle if you take a selfie.
Take it in front of a PLAIN WHITE background. Anything else will be rejected.
Face forward and look straight at the camera.
Be sure your face, neck and the tops of your shoulders are visible with some space showing above your head.
Take a color photo without filters.
