Housing Checklist
for new residents
After you have completed the housing application, there are several tasks to complete before you move-in to your new home on campus:
1 Match and Select Roommates
In both WCU Managed and USH Affiliated, you may select a roommate(s), search for a roommate(s), or have a roommate(s) assigned to you.
Roommate Matching and Selection
WCU Managed Housing Roommate Selection will open March 25, 2026. The priority deadline to select a roommate is June 8, 2026.
Within the housing application, you will complete the Roommate Matching Lifestyle Questionnaire to help you find and connect with students who may be a good roommate match.
Selecting a Roommate in WCU Managed Housing
USH Affiliated Roommate Matching Selection will open April 27, 2026 and close on May 31, 2026. Students who have completed their USH lease will be able to roommate match with other
USH leaseholders.

2 Select/Receive your Housing Assignment
WCU Managed Housing: you will be assigned a room and residence hall based on your responses in the WCU Managed Housing Application. Housing assignments will be sent via your WCU email address in mid-to-late June.
USH Affiliated Housing: you will select a residence hall and suite style. USH Affiliated Room Self-Selection opens June 9 and closes June 13. Visit USH Roommates and Rooms to find more information.
3 Complete Education Modules
All incoming residential students are required to complete two online modules: Sexual Assault Prevention and AlcoholEdu for College. These modules are designed to support your well being and contribute to a safe, informed campus community.
The deadline to complete both modules is August 1, 2026. Completion of these both modules is necessary in order to move into the residence halls in August.
To Access the Education Modules (Beginning in June 2026):
- Log in using your WCU credentials.
- Complete the Sexual Assault Prevention module (approximately 75 minutes) and the AlcoholEdu for College module (approximately 140 minutes). The modules do not need to be completed in one sitting; you may log out and return at any time.
If you experience any difficulty accessing the training, please contact Porsche Murray, Assistant Director/Coordinator of Equal Opportunity Programs and Strategic Initiatives, at pmurray@wcupa.edu.
