New Residents: Complete the Housing Checklist

What to expect on move-in day:

1. Arrive to campus during your time slot and go to your designated unloading zone
Check your WCU email often for information about selecting your timeslot (mid-July), directions to your unloading zone, and need-to-know housing info.

2. Unload your belongings
You will have a maximum of 30 minutes to unload your belongings. There will be large carts and plenty of smiling volunteers to help you unload.

3. Check-in & receive your room key
You will check-in at your assigned residence hall.

4. Move car to designated parking lot/garage
Select WCU parking lots and select parking garages are complimentary during move-in days. Most parking lots and garages are a 5-10 minute walk from the residence halls. Parents and family can return to help you get settled into your new home. Designated parking lots/garages on move-in day

5. Make your space your new home sweet home
Unpack, decorate, organize and make your dorm room comfy and cozy.

6. Enjoy your day!
Explore campus, meet your new neighbors, grab a bite to eat in the local area, run errands, shop for dorm items, and get ready for the fun Welcome Week events and activities.
