Police: Investigations
The Police Investigations division of Public Safety normally consists of two full time investigators. They assist our other uniformed police officers with conducting follow-up investigations, processing crime scenes and collecting evidence required for court. They also make referrals and assist victims with university counseling services and in protection from abuse matters. They also assist other external local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with their investigations, serving warrants, assisting with suspect identifications, notifications, collecting and disseminating intelligence information, and doing background checks. Our investigators work with the Chester County Crime Victim’s Center, The Pennsylvania State Police Crime Labs, and The Chester County District Attorney’s Office. This division is also responsible for Operation ID, Threat Assessment and C.C.I.T. investigations.
