Public Transit: SEPTA, Amtrak, and ChescoBus
SEPTA and ChescoBus Bus Transit
SEPTA Bus Transit
The SEPTA 104 stops along High Street and at the Swope Music Building in M Lot and provides local
service to Philadelphia.
The SEPTA 92 stops at the West Chester Transportation Center on Market Street and provides service
to Exton, Malvern, and King of Prussia.
The SEPTA 135 stops at the West Chester Transportation Center on Market Street and goes to Coatesville.
ChescoBus SCCOOT Bus
The ChescoBus SCCOOT route stops at New Street and Rosedale Avenue, and connects West Chester, Kennett Square, West Grove, and Oxford.
SEPTA Regional Rail and Amtrak
SEPTA Regional Rail
SEPTA's Paoli / Thorndale Regional Rail line goes to the Exton Station. You can then get to campus via WCU's Exton Train Station Shuttle Service!
Amtrak
Amtrak's Keystone Service Train and Pennsylvanian Train stop at the same Exton regional rail station. You can then get to campus via WCU's Exton Train Station Shuttle Service!
Paying for Public Transit
SEPTA
SEPTA accepts contactless payment (credit/debit card or Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) for travel on bus, Metro and Regional Rail. SEPTA Key Cards are also available for use. SEPTA Key Cards are available for purchase at the SSI Service Counter in the ground floor of Sykes Student Union. Learn more on SEPTA's Ways to Pay site.
Amtrak
Purchase train tickets online or on the Amtrak app. Larger Amtrak stations have ticket kiosks or staffed ticket booths. Learn more on Amtrak's site.

Discounted SEPTA Monthly Passes
WCU students and employees may purchase SEPTA monthly passes at a discounted rate!
Passes go on sale between the 1st and 20th of the month before you'd like the pass.
SEPTA Key Cards are available for purchase at the SSI Service Counter in the ground floor of Sykes Student Union.

WCU Shuttle Buses
WCU Shuttle Buses are free for WCU students, faculty, and staff and provide convenient transportation throughout campus, West Chester Borough, West Goshen, and to the Exton Amtrak/SEPTA Station.
Popular WCU Shuttle stops include:
- Transportation between North and South Campus
- The West Goshen Loop which provides access to various off campus apartment complexes, making it easier to access off campus living options. The route also makes stops at the West Goshen Shopping Center (Target, ACME, Staples, and more) and ALDI.
- The Uptown Loop which travels into the Borough of West Chester and stops at off campus residential buildings, the Chester County Hospital, and the Bradford Plaza Shopping Center (Giant, Dollar Store, Walgreens and more).
- The Exton Train Shuttle which provides access to the Amtrak/SEPTA Station where you can hop on a SEPTA bus to Philadelphia or a direct train to Lancaster, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, or the Big Apple.
